Cribbage has always been my favorite card game, my grandad taught me when I was a kid and this design has always been my favorite. It was my first real wood working project, fresh out of my highschool shop class, and I’ve since redesigned it completely on my own for the CNC Router.
The idea that they can be assembled in any top/bottom combination really speaks to my passion for different wood species. It allows me to highlight the natural beauty of the wood itself, avoiding the use of paints or stains and try all sorts of top/bottom combinations to find the best fits. This way you have a piece worth displaying, card and peg storage right in the board itself and a game board that will last long enough for you to pass it down to your grandkids too.
